Hankey Church Road is in Plum...and let me tell you, it is probably one of the most hinky places I have been. The original info I recieved about Hankey was this : "Plum - Hankey Church Road - There is a cemetery on Hankey Church Road that is haunted. Visitors of this cemetery have reported dozens of strange events. Feelings of weightlessness, numbness, possessions, headstones and trees that glow, and cloud-like apparitions are just a few. There is also a gravestone shaped like a tree trunk that is believed to be the center of activity."
Now...we went up a few weeks ago, at night, big no-no...I did not leave my car. As soon as we got to the cemetery, my eyes started watering and I just couldn't do it. A few friends of mine went in (bad, bad peeps that went without permssion). When we drove there, it was pretty nice out. We had our windows down for the drive and all. When they came back out, they were shivering and I swear to you that it was snowing in the cemetery...snowing. I could see it through the beams of light from their flashlights. SNOW. Like I said, I stayed in the car, and drove along the white picket fence that runs the entire length of the cemetery...going the same pace as they were walking so I sould see their flashlights and hear their voices. Well, when they were inside, as did I from the road, heard footsteps. These were not deer or cute and fuzzy bunny footsteps. Heavy, crunching-throught-the-leaves footsteps. We all heard them. Also, as the three of them walked through the yard, they stayed together. At one point, one of my friends was talking to another, turned towards her, and the girl she was talking to was about 15 feet way with her boyfriend. She still dosen't know who she was actually talking to. We found the tree stump shaped headstone...it is bright white and is right along the fence towards the middle of the cemetery... the stone is for Elmer W...one of my friends touched it..."felt it up" as she put it. Five minutes after they get in the car, she starts complaining about her elbow hurting...(things that make ya go "hmmmmm"). These are a few of the things we expierenced at Hankey Church Road/Cemetery in the 15 minutes we were there.
